What is the Mile High Club, and how do I get in?

Have you always wanted to have sex on a plane, to get it on with a partner above the clouds? Then you belong to those who aspire to membership of the so-called Mile High Club. This imaginary club is made up of all those who have had hot sex during a flight. Members are said to include Boris Becker, Robbie Williams, John Travolta, Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon.

How to get into the Mile High Club?

The admission requirements are quickly explained. You must have sex on a plane with someone while it is in the air. It doesn’t matter whether you get fucked properly, usually in the on-board toilet, or pleasure your partner in this way. Other possible locations are the seats, the crew rest areas on long-haul flights, or even the cockpit. The latter two, however, are probably only for crew members. As access to these sensitive areas is reserved exclusively for pilots and flight attendants.

But the most important condition for membership in the Mile High Club is the flight altitude. The exciting sex must take place when the plane flies at least one nautical mile high. You will only be admitted to this elite club if the sex takes place at an altitude of at least 1,852 metres.

Sex above the clouds – Surveys show desire for lovemaking on planes

The idea of making someone’s hole wet and slippery with lube in the on-board toilet and then giving them a good going over with or without a condom seems to really turn many people on. This was the result of a survey of more than 11,000 people conducted by the dating portal “Saucy Dates”. As many as 78 % of the participants admitted that they found the idea of having hot sex on a plane very stimulating. Five per cent of respondents said they were already members of the Mile High Club.

While 18 % of club members reported having sex with a crew member, 30 per cent had sex with a stranger during a flight. The most popular places for such lovemaking were the washrooms (59 per cent) and the seats (31 per cent). Surprisingly, only 1 percent named the cockpit as their favourite place.

Sex on a plane – making love above the clouds

If you thought that sex on a plane only takes place in the form of quickies, you are mistaken. On average, making love in the air lasted no less than 10 minutes. If you’ve ever flown and seen how often people go to the toilet, you’ll get an idea of how often people knock on the door. So if you’re planning to get your lover off in the plane’s lavatory, perhaps you also need exciting sex toys and a noseful of poppers. You’ll need also a good plan to get things on board. And secondly nerves of steel to avoid being distracted by impatient passengers during sex play.

“Love is in the Air” – Not according to current law

If you have the plan to make yourself a member of the Mile High Club through an exciting fuck in the air, you should bear in mind that freedom above the clouds is not. As limitless as Reinhard May once assumed in his hit song. This is because, according to § 183a of the German Criminal Code, causing a public nuisance is also punishable behaviour above the clouds. It reads: “Whoever performs sexual acts in public and thereby intentionally or knowingly causes a nuisance, shall be punished with imprisonment not exceeding one year or with fines, if the offence is not punishable under § 183.” This § 183, for example, punishes exhibitionist acts with fines or imprisonment.

Airlines such as Lufthansa or Singapore Airlines also emphasise time and again that double beds, for example, as provided in 1st class, are not a free ticket for sex on the plane. And that violations can even be brought to court. Ultimately, airlines want you to be considerate of other passengers. If you still want to have a fuck in the aircraft toilet or feel like a proper blowjob in your seat, be aware that sex is forbidden on the plane.

Long-haul flights are most suitable to get into the Mile High Club

Short-haul flights are particularly unsuitable for sex on board. The crew is constantly on the move, handing out snacks or selling perfumes, watches or other things. Long-haul flights are much better suited to becoming a member of the Mile High Club. Especially when there is a long flight phase in which the cabin lights are switched off and the passengers are asleep. This is the time to disappear into the on-board toilet and enjoy yourself. If you’re lucky enough to be sitting in a row of two, a wet hand job or blow job is more likely to go unnoticed. Then if there’s a third person sitting next to you and your partner.

Of course, any sex on a plane only has a chance of going unnoticed if it happens smoothly. Loud stares or even horny screams are forbidden, as is dirty talk. This way, no other passengers will become aware. And ideally, the crew will not notice any sex play in their sphere of influence.

There really is nothing that doesn’t exist. This also applies to legal sex on a plane. For example, you can book flights on some US airlines where you legally become a member of the Mile High Club. Airlines such as Flamingo Air or Lovecloud offer flights that can be booked as a romantic tour or under the Mile High Club name.

While the official focus of the former offer is on the word ‘romance’, the latter offer is clear-cut. For 1,000 US dollars, you can not only fly over Las Vegas for an hour. But also have a good time with your partner in the plane’s own bed. The pilots don’t care if you engage. If it is anal play, cock play or electro play during the flight. As long as you use the appropriate toys too.

Booking a flight like this, however, means giving up the actual thrill that forbidden sex on a plane gives you. Doing something forbidden is the real attraction that makes it so exciting to be a member of the Mile High Club. After all, anyone can do permissible things.
