On the way to greater sustainability
We take responsibility for the most beautiful planet we know of in the galaxy. As space adventurers, we know very well how rare and precious a planet like ours with all its colourful diversity is. For this reason, as part of this world, we make a small but crucial contribution to preserving our precious ecosystem.
Wherever possible, we avoid the following when shipping
✘ Composite materials and compounds that are extremely hard to recycle
✘ Plastic packaging tape with release coatings and / or acrylate adhesives and the like
✘ Unnecessary and oversized packaging material
Instead, we use
✔ Gummed paper tape with adhesive made from plant starch
✔ Packaging made mainly from renewable raw materials
✔ Easy-to-recycle filling materials made from foam cuttings, bubble wrap and packing paper
✔ Unbleached paper and cardboard materials
The most important advantages at a glance
✔ Secure & durable
When the paper tape we use is removed, it leaves clear marks on the surface of the cardboard, and any attempt to open or tamper with it becomes visible. The plant-based glue bonds fully with the cardboard surface, sealing it completely and guaranteeing a strong, lasting hold and a secure closure under a wide variety of conditions.
✔ Easy disposal
The paper tape we use can be disposed of together with the shipping carton as a clean single-material solution in the waste paper collection, where it is fed into the recycling loop. Our foam cuttings and bubble wrap, which mainly come from deliveries of goods to us and which we reuse for shipping, can likewise be returned to the circular economy.
✔ Environmentally friendly
Unbleached cardboard and gummed paper tape made from renewable raw materials, plus fully biodegradable glue made from plant starch. Wherever possible, we avoid barely recyclable composite materials, environmentally harmful release coatings and synthetically produced adhesives based on crude oil. In addition, we try to use resources and materials for as long as possible and to reduce waste to a minimum.
